Never Alone

What we did:
Creative concept, illustration, text

'I drew the initial doodle for this character on a pizza cardboard box while talking at the phone.
Straight after, I effortlessly formulated the accompanying text, which gave a narrative and an identity to a cartoonish face otherwise only meant to look likeable and cute.
The character reveals to be a Martian discriminated by Terrestrials because of the distinctive uneven eye proportions of his race.
The message underlying his statement is that anyone being subject to prejudice can minimise the impact of marginalisation by realising he's not alone and by sticking together with those with which he shares common characteristics.
I believe that such copying mechanism is relied upon by anyone marginalised more than the idealistic belief that all forms of discrimination will one day entirely cease to exist.'
