What is it:
What I did:
Creative concept, graphic design, name generation, logo design
A new tablet magazine needed an identity reflecting its mission to explore in depth the most prominent people and topics in the entertainment and media industry.
I picked out the magazine name Innermost to indicate the magazine's purpose to go beyond the surface of media culture.
Consistently with this idea, the logo shape reminds of a cellular nucleus, an egg's yolk or the concentric rounds of a tree trunk's structure.
As for the story on Madonna, I researched on the performer's public image, consisting of elements of femininity, religion, contradiction and boldness.
I made all these elements converge into the story's visual style, incorporating typefaces and a colour palette in line with the artist's visual imagery.
